BACKGROUND

I grew up in Altrincham, Cheshire, England. Moved to London to study Podiatry at London Foot Hospital and University College London. I practiced Podiatry for 9 years in Yorkshire, then moved to USA for 12 months. I have spent my working life working for the National Health Service in England and latterly in Scotland, where I pursued a career in Quality and Service Improvement in Cancer Services, and variety of other healthcare areas.

I am passionate about accessible, good, quality healthcare and motivated to continually to improve services.

Qualifications

BSc Podiatric Medicine
Institute of Healthcare Improvement – Improvement Advisor
Certificate in Public Health Education and Promotion
Improvement Business Techniques NVQ Level 3

Interests

I feel at my best when out and about. I live an active and healthy lifestyle and have tried my hand at many sports including cyclist, netball, running and snowboarding. Having spent the last 16 years living on the beautiful Scottish coast of Fife, eating locally sourced food. I love to be not very far from the sea, with a passion to eat seasonal local food when possible.
