Podiatry Services Available at Our Burleigh Clinic
Our podiatrists can assess and help manage a wide range of concerns affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.
General Foot Care
General podiatry appointments can assist with toenail concerns, corns, calluses, cracked heels, thickened nails, fungal toenails and ongoing foot care.
These appointments may be particularly helpful for people who have difficulty safely caring for their feet or have noticed changes in their skin or nails.

Heel and Foot Pain
Heel, arch, forefoot and ankle pain can make walking, working and exercising uncomfortable.
A podiatry assessment can help identify factors that may be contributing to your discomfort, including foot posture, movement patterns, footwear, activity levels and previous injuries.
Your podiatrist can then discuss treatment and management options suited to your symptoms and goals.
Ingrown Toenail Treatment
Painful, swollen or recurring ingrown toenails can become increasingly uncomfortable if left untreated.
Our podiatrists offer conservative care and clinic-based nail surgery options depending on the condition of the nail and surrounding skin.

Custom Orthotics
Custom orthotics may be recommended to support the feet, redistribute pressure or assist with certain foot and lower limb concerns.
Our podiatrists can complete a biomechanical assessment, review your footwear and discuss whether customised orthotics may be appropriate for you.

Sports Podiatry
Foot and lower limb concerns can affect your ability to train, compete or enjoy regular exercise.
A sports podiatry appointment may include an assessment of your symptoms, movement, footwear, training demands and previous injuries. Your podiatrist will then discuss an individual management plan based on your activities and goals.

Children’s Podiatry
Children’s feet and movement patterns change as they grow.
Our podiatrists can assess concerns relating to walking, foot posture, heel pain, sports participation, footwear and general foot development.

Diabetes-Related Foot Care
Diabetes can affect circulation, sensation and overall foot health.
Regular podiatry assessments can help identify changes early and provide practical guidance about protecting and caring for the feet.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your appointment will begin with a conversation about your symptoms, medical history, daily activities and goals.
Your podiatrist will then complete an assessment relevant to your concern. Depending on your needs, this may include examining your feet, skin and nails, assessing your circulation or sensation, reviewing your footwear or observing how you walk and move.
Your podiatrist will explain their findings, answer your questions and discuss the treatment or management options that may be suitable for you.
Mobile Podiatry Is Still Available
Although we are moving our clinic to Burleigh, our mobile podiatry services are not changing.
The Foot Stop will continue providing home visit podiatry for patients who have difficulty attending a clinic or prefer to receive care at home.
Our mobile podiatrists support private patients, older adults, NDIS participants, Home Care Package recipients, retirement communities and residential aged care facilities.

Do You Need a Referral?
Most patients do not need a referral to book a podiatry appointment.
A referral may be required if you are attending through Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs or another funded arrangement. Private patients can generally contact us directly to request an appointment.
Private health insurance rebates will depend on your individual policy and level of extras cover.
